Architect and urban planner from Berlin. With their urban design for the future layout and location of federal buildings in the “Spreebogen district” his office won one of the largest urban design competitions ever held, beating hundreds other entries and making the firm famous overnight | 1943 born in Dresden, Germany | 1969 completes studies at the “Technical University of Berlin” | 1972 founds architectural firm “BJSS” | 2000 becomes member of the “Akademie der Künste” (Berlin Academy of Arts) | 1992 founds “Axel Schultes Architekten” with Charlotte FRANK | 2003 teaches at the “Kunstakademie Düsseldorf”
