Swiss-French architect, architectural theorist, urban planner, painter, draughtsman, sculptor, furniture designer and one of the most influential architects of the 20th century. In 2016 his buildings in seven countries become world heritage site of the UNESCO | 1887 born in La Chaux-de-Fonds / Switzerland | 1906 builts Villa Fallet with René Chapallaz | 1907 graduates from “La-Chaux-de-Fonds Art School” | 1908 builts Villa Jacquemet and Villa Stotzer | 1922 establishes his own office in Paris | 1930 takes French citizenship | 1937 awarded “Knight of the Legion of Honor” | 1947 designs plans for the United Nations Building | 1965 died in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin
