American architect of Uruguayan origin who lived and worked in the United States. Viniori was a fellow of the “American Institute of Architects”, international fellow of the “Royal Institute of British Architects”, member of the “Japan Institute of Architects” and the “Argentine Institute of Architects” | 1944 born in Montevideo / Uruguay | 1964 founds architectual firm with six other architects | 1968-69 master’s degrees at the faculty of architecture and urban planning, both at the University of Buenos Aires | 1978 moves to the United States; becomes visiting lectures at “Harvard Graduate School of Design” | 1983 founds “Rafael Viñoly Architects” | 1994 elected member of the “National Academy of Design” in New York | 2023 died in New York City
