Austrian-born architect who considers himself a Californian architect, he has lived and practised in Los Angeles since 1975. Other influences have been Adolf LOOS while he was a student in Vienna, and Irving GILL and Rudolf SCHINDLER when he came to California | 1949 born | 1971-73 works for Hans HOLLEIN | 1975-76 works for Emilio AMBASZ in New York | 1984 opens his own office in San Francisco | 1991 moves office to Venice, California | 1993 professor of architecture at UCLA | 2019 retires his architectural practice and teaching appointments and works on his career as a music promoter and as DJ
