Argentinian-US-American architect who is most famous for the 452-metre-high Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur | 1926 born in Tucumán, Argentina | 1949 graduates in architecture at “Universidad de Tucumán” | 1952 emigrates to the United States | 1954 master´s degree in architecture at the “University of Illinois School of Architecture”; important teachers were Walter GROPIUS and Ludwig MIES VAN DER ROHE | 1964 becomes a naturalized U.S. citizen; joins Los Angeles firm of “Daniel, Mann, Johnson & Mendenhall” as design director | 1977 founds “César Pelli & Associates Architects” | 1977-84 college director at school of architecture at “Yale University” | 2019 died in New Haven, Connecticut
