French abstract sculptor of Hungarian descent | 1923 born in Budapest, Hungary | 1940 studies art at the “Budapest Academy of Fine Arts” | 1946 moves to Paris, where she meets Fernand LÉGER among others | 1952 obtaines French nationality and marries architect André WOGENSCKY, assistant of LE CORBUSIER – Pan´s early sculptures are influenced by his architecture | 1956 creates the sculpture ‘Le Teck’, choreographer Maurice BÉJART creates a ballet of the same name, which he premieres on the roof of Le Corbusier’s Unité d’Habitation building in Marseille – performes around the sculpture | 2001 honoured by Praemium Imperiale awarded by Japanese imperial house | 2008 died in Paris, France
