Audrey FLACK

American painter and sculptor of photorealism, who is considered as one of the most important female member of this movement. Her works are in collections of the “Metropolitan Museum of Art”, the “Museum of Modern Art”, the “Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum” and the “Whitney Museum of American Art”| 1931 born in New York | 1948-51 studies at Cooper Union, New York City | 1952 studies under Josef ALBERS at “Yale University”, New Haven | 1953 studies at “New York University Institute of Fine Arts” | 1983~ concentrates on sculpture, being inspired by Greco-Roman, Renaissance and Baroque sculpture to explore representations of female power
