Spanish painter and sculptor living in New York. First artist in Spain to introduce a form of artistic expression that combines political and social commitment with humour and irony | 1942 born in Valencia, Spain | 1957-59 studies at “San Carlos School of Fine Arts” in Valencia | 1959 leaving his studies to devote himself to painting | 1964 founds the artistic group “Equipo Crónica” together with Juan Antonio TOLEDO and Rafael SOLBES | 1979 receives the silver medal at the “2nd International Biennial of Printmaking” in Tôkyô; “Bridgestone Art Museum Prize” at “Lis’79” in Lisbon.
