Portuguese artist whose work has special reference in architecture, through the organisation of formal space and the concept of monument and its deconstruction. He is a contemporary of Pedro CALAPEZ, Pedro CABRITA REIS and Ana LÉON, having exhibited with them | 1957 born in Porto, Portugal | 1981 graduates in painting at the “Escola Superior de Belas Artes”, Lisbon | 1980s works a lot on stone sculpture, bas-relief and modelling, influenced by João CUTILEIRO | 1990s incorporates everyday items, such as chairs and tables, later he introduces the mirror and the fragmentation of objects into his works | 1992 awarded by the degree of “Knight of the Military Order of Sant’Iago da Espada”
