Mariella MOSLER

German installation artist. Focus of her work is the examination of ornament. Quartz sand, cardboard, coconut fibres, foam, love beads, fruit gum, tinsel, mirrors, sheet aluminium or bubble wrap are the raw materials for her floor works, ornamental sand reliefs and wall-covering installations. Much of her work is temporary | 1962 born in Oldenburg, Germany | 1985-92 studies art at the “Hamburg University of Fine Arts” | 2003 works as a university lecturer at the “Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart” | 1997 participant in documenta X in Kassel; has numerous group and solo exhibitions | 2002 including at the “Hamburger Kunsthalle” | 2004 Kunsthalle Göppingen | 2012 Kunsthalle Gießen
