Japanese architect and university lecturer and site design producer for the Expo 2025 | 1971 born in Hokkaidô | 2000 wins the second prize for the “Aomori Museum of Art” | 1994 graduates in engineering from “University of Tôkyô” | 2000 opens the architectural partnership “Sou Fujimoto Architects” | 2001 ~ associate professor at “Tôkyô University of Natural Sciences” | 2007 ~ teaches at “Kyôto University” | 2009 ~ teaches at “Keiô University” in Tôkyô | 2025 designs the 60,000 sqm timber structure “Grand Ring” for the EXPO 2025 on Yumeshima Island in Ôsaka City.
