相田武文 (1937~)
Japanese architect who is known for his “Building Block Houses” series | 1937 born in Tôkyô | 1966 completes his doctoral studies at “Waseda University” | 1967 founds “Takefumi Aida Urban Architecture Research Institute” | 1971 co-founder of ARCHITEXT, counter-movement to the metabolites, with TAKEYAMA Minoru, SUZUKI Makoto, MIYAWAKI Mayumi and AZUMA Takamitsu | 1977 professor at “Shibaura Institute of Technology” – he changes the name to “Takefumi Aida Design Laboratory” and awards the “Takefumi Aida Memorial Prize” as part of its university honours scheme | 2015 becomes honorary member of the “Japan Institute of Architects” (JIA)
