He is also a collector of old maps: The “Kazumasa Yamashita Collection” is housed in the “Gifu Prefectural Library” | 1937 born in Nagoya | 1955 graduates from “Tokai High School”, Nagoya | 1959 graduates from “Tôkyô Institute of Technology” | 1959-64 works at the Tôkyo office of NIKKEN SEKKEI | 1964-66 leave of absence from NIKKEN SEKKEI; works for “Schneider-Esleben Architects” in Germany | 1965 works for the “City of London Building Department” in England | 1966 returns to Japan and to NIKKEN SEKKEI | 1969-78 associate professor at the department of design, “Tôkyô Zôkei University” | 1969 establishes “Kazumasa Yamashita Architectural Laboratory”
