Japanese architect known for his design of banks and public buildings in Korea, former Manchuria and Shizuoka prefecture | 1880 born in Hamamatsu City | 1905 graduates from “Tôkyô Imperial University” (today “University of Tôkyô”); enters “Tatsuno Kasai Architectural Office”, jointly run by TATSUNO Kingo and KASAI Manji | 1907 becomes chief engineer of the construction department “First Bank of Korea” | 1908 moves to Seoul | 1912 completes construction of the main branch of the “Bank of Korea” | 1917 opens branch office in Dalian, China | 1921 travels to Europe and America | 1922 opens “Nakamura Construction Office” in Tôkyô | 1944 closes the office and evacuates to Hamamatsu | 1952 elected to the “Shizuoka Prefectural Board of Education” | 1963 died in Hamamatsu
