Polish sculptor and painter who became fascinated by the art and culture of Latin America | 1944 born in Saxony, Germany | 1963 enters the “Academy of Fine Arts” in Krakow | 1968 moves to Paris to continue his studies at the “National School of Fine Arts”; travels and paints for one year in Mexico | 1974 returns to Paris | 1976 solo exhibition at “Gallery la Hune” | 1979 starts to use marble as his main material | 1983 sets up a studio in Pietrasanta, Italy | 2005 honoured by the “Polish Order of Culture” | 2014 died in Paris, France
