Japanese architect, urban planner and member of the “Japan Art Academy” | 1928 born in Mito, Ibaraki prefecture | 1945 graduates from Junior high school, with fellow architect SUZUKI Shigefumi as his classmate | 1957 completes master degree in architecture at the “University of Tôkyô”; works for KAJIMA Corporation | 1963 completes postgraduate studies at “Yale University’s school of Architecture and Fine Arts” | 1969 returns to Japan, opens own office “Shinichi Ôkada & Associates” | 1949-2011 lecturer at “University of Tôkyô”, “Chiba University” and “Tôkyô Metropolitan University” | 2014 died
