Japanese architect, member of the “Japan Art Academy” and professor emeritus at “Tôkyô University of the Arts”. Had learned the basics of the modern “Sukiya style” of architecture | 1928 born in Tôkyô | 1949-64 graduates and works in the department of architecture at the “Tôkyô National University of Fine Arts and Music” (now “Tôkyô University of the Arts”); studies under YOSHIDA Gojuhachi | 1964 founds TAKASHI SUGIYAMA ARCHITECTS | 1970 becomes adopted son of IMAZATO Hiroki | 1988-91 visiting professor at Tôkyô National University of Fine Arts and Music
