堀池秀人 (1949 – 2015)

Japanese architect and urban planner, famous for his avant-garde architecture | 1949 born in Nagasaki City | graduates from the department of architecture at “Tôkyô University of Science” | Ph.D. from the “University of Tôkyô” | founds the “Horiike Hideto Institute for Urbanism and Architecture” and the “Horiike Hideto Atelier” | 1982-95 visiting professor at “University of California”, Los Angeles | 1990 receives “Golden Egg Award” from “American Institute of Architects” | 2005 honoured by “Japan Institute of Architects Award” | 2009~ professor at “Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology” in “Kumamoto University” | 2015 died
