Gifu-jô castle on Mount Kinka in Gifu City, also known as Inabayama-jô, was built at the beginning of the 13th century, conquered and rebuilt by ODA Nobunaga in 1564 and completely destroyed by an earthquake in 1891. It was not rebuilt until the 1950s.
