Ōyamazumi Shrine is a Shintô shrine located on the island of Ōmishima in the Seto Inland Sea. As renowned generals, samurai and pirates have made pilgrimages here over the centuries to pray for victory or give thanks for it, the shrine boasts an unrivalled collection:  Estimated around 80 % of all armours and weapons in Japan – also by MINAMOTO no Yoshitsune – classified as national treasures or important cultural properties are housed on this site. At the heart of the peaceful temple complex stands a gigantic, sacred camphor tree (kusunoki), which is estimated to be 2,600 years old
