Nikkô Futarasan-jinja, together with other shrines and temples in Sannai such as the Rinnō-ji or Tōshō-gū, is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The shrine is dedicated to the gods of the three mountains: Nantai-san, Nyohō-san and Tarō-san. Shin-kyô, the “Sacred Bridge”, crossing the Daiya river belongs to the shrine.
