Kasurahama is one of the most beautiful beaches in Kochi prefecture, just south of Kôchi City in the south of Shikoku Island. Its main distinction is the majestic bronze statue of SAKAMOTO Ryôma, one of the country’s national heroes. The Sakamoto Ryōma Memorial Museum opened in the grounds of the former Urado Castle in 1991. People come to this place not only for the traditional beach activities, but for a relaxing holiday on the shore and exciting walks along the coast, surrounded by beautiful landscapes.
