Uwajima City 宇和島市

Shikoku

A quiet port town with a population of around 70,000 on the west coast of Shikoku, south of Matsuyama City. It is known for Uwajima castle, built in the mid-17th century and preserved in its original state to this day, as well as for the bullfights held every month in an arena. The Taga-jinja shrine houses an erotic museum.
