Atami City 熱海市

The seaside resort of Atami, with a population of 33,000, is located in the north of the Izu Peninsula, which in turn is part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. Numerous thermal baths and an attractive city beach make the spa town a popular destination. German architect and urban planner Bruno TAUT converted a merchant’s villa in Atami, together with his architect friend YOSHIDA Tetsurô.
