Great Seto Bridge
瀬戸大橋 seto-ôhashi
connecting Okayama and Kagawa prefectures
The Seto Bridge, opened to traffic in 1988, is part of the three “Honshû-Shikoku Bridges Projects”. It crosses the Seto Inland Sea and is linking the main island of Honshû in Okayama Prefecture and Shikoku in Kagawa Prefecture. The whole construction contains six bridges and is 9,4 km long overall – the largest bridge is the Minami Bisan-Seto Bridge with a centre span of 1,1 km.
