Kyôgen 狂言

Kyôgen, a theatrical genre dating back some six centuries and featuring a wide range of comic expressions – physical comedy, satire and wordplay – is the counterpart to the serious nô drama and, despite its own distinct form, traditionally serves as a light-hearted interlude between two individual nô plays.
