Narbo Via

The Narbo Via Museum of Roman Antiquities opened in December 2021. The name is derived from the city of Narbonne and its unique location: in ancient times, the two most important Roman roads in Gaul crossed here – the “Via Domita”, a land route from Italy to the Iberian Peninsula, and the “Via Aquitania”, which linked the Mediterranean Sea with the Atlantic Ocean. At the same time, the architecture of the present and the past symbolically converge here.
