安田侃 (1945~)

1945 born in Bibai, Hokkaidô | 1966 exhibits at the “Tokyo Museum” and the “Zendoten” in Sapporo | 1969 graduates in the sculpture section of “Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music”, now Tokyo University of the Arts | 1970 obtains a scholarship from the Italian government and moves to Rome, attends the “Accademia di Belle Arti” | 1973 establishes a studio in a suburb of Florence, famous for its white marble | 1992 awarded the “Art Encouragement Prize” for new artists | 1994 receives “International Sculpture Exhibition Prize” (Italy) | 2006 honored by “Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity” | 2013 “Hokkaido Culture Prize”
