Multi-purpose complex and one of Japan’s best-known conference centres. It comprises four buildings: Halls 1–8 of the International Exhibition Centre, the Event Hall, the International Conference Centre, and Halls 9–11 (North Halls) of the International Exhibition Centre. In addition to exhibitions it has also made a name for itself internationally as a venue for major concerts: In 2007, one of the two Japanese “Live Earth” concerts was held here – a project launched by, amongst others, the former US Vice-President and environmental campaigner Al GORE.
