Japanes artist known for his large-scale, site-specific stone installations | 1933 born in Tôkyô | 1955 graduates from “Waseda University” | 1970 travels to Europe, studies at the “University of Strasbourg”; subsequently creates works in France and Italy | 1973 solo exhibitions in  Germany and Luxembourg | 1983 receives the public prize at the “Tronje Contemporary Art Exhibition” | 1987 honoured by “Kyoto National Museum of Modern Art Prize” at the 12th “Contemporary Japanese Sculpture Exhibition”
