Nagano Prefectural Art Museum is a prefectural art museum in Nagano City. It is located in Shiroyama Park on the east side of Zenkô-ji Temple. Its predecessor was the “Nagano Prefectural Shinano Art Museum” – demolished 2017. The museum consists of the honkan, which mainly houses works by local artists and local landscapes, and the Higashiyama Kaii Gallery, which houses works by the Japanese painter HIGASHIYAMA Kaii, who was fond of depicting the landscapes of Nagano Prefecture.
