The project “Gifu Kitagata Apartments” was led by the Japanese architect ISOZAKI Arata, who was commissioned by the city of Gifu to put together a team of female architects – consisting of two Japanese, one English and one American woman: SEJIMA Kazuyo, Christine HAWLEY, TAKAHASHI Akiko and Elizabeth DILLER. The coordinator of the landscape architecture was Martha SCHWARTZ.
