Bhaisajyaguru (skr.) – Yakushi Buddha
The Medicine Buddha is known by a number of names. The Sanskrit version of his name is Bhaisajyaguru, which can be translated as “Medicine Teacher”, “Medicine Buddha”, “Healing Buddha” or “Master of Medicines Buddha”. Through his dedication to helping others, he is said to have transcended the concept of “ordinary” over time and found enlightenment.
