Kitanomaru-kôen / Tôkyô 1964
The martial arts hall built for the 1964 Olympic Games in Tôkyô was modelled on the octagonal “Hall of Dreams” in the Hôryû-ji temple in Nara. Both the Beatles (1966) and Bob Dylan performed at the Nippon Budôkan.
